1. Assistant Manager, Project Development
About the Role
Renewable Resources is on the lookout for a dynamic and qualified individual to fill the role of Assistant Manager, Project Development. In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in propelling project development forward, conducting in-depth technical studies, and ensuring the seamless execution of our initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and meticulously prepare technical studies for power projects, encompassing both utility-scale and captive applications.
- Execute project development in compliance with regulatory frameworks, including participation in power tariff biddings, negotiating energy purchase agreements with utilities, and managing B2B contracts.
- Take charge of project construction and implementation processes, which involves formulating supply and construction contracts, and meticulously planning construction management strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive market research on emerging technologies, particularly those within the renewable energy sector, and evaluate potential project opportunities in alignment with ongoing energy projects in Pakistan.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams, including development, engineering, and construction departments, to ensure project feasibility and successful execution.
- Supervise and actively contribute to project documentation across various stages of development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, civil).
- A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in project development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Profound understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proven experience in technical report writing and adeptness in handling project documentation.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project).
Preferred Skills
- Previous exposure to renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, wind, hybrid, BESS).
- Proficiency in relevant software applications is advantageous (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, PVsol, Windpro, SketchUp, AutoCAD).
- Strong capabilities in technical report writing.
