Off Grid Power Systems - Solar Thermal

The solar thermal systems are usually designed for domestic and industrial water and space heating applications. Present day solar collectors are of evacuated vacuum tubes and heat pipes. The first stage is to perform heat load calculations of the site and determine the amount of heat energy required to meet the requirement. This is further computed against the ambient conditions and the specifications of the collector.

The outcome of activity is a BOM required to meet the heating requirement. The systems are either independent or hybrid (pre-heating). The systems are also either open loop or closed loop (heat exchanger).

For common applications, ready-made products (solar water heaters) are available. However, RE2 focuses the designing the complete solution against a certain requirement.
